french feast in the Green Market, 12.00 – 22:00

Culinary demonstrations, all day feasting, wine tasting and quality produce from London’s largest number of artisan producers and purveyors of French regional specialities. A total of 22 French traders will sustain revellers all day and into the evening, at the festival finale party: the Bal Populaire. 

 

French themed Demonstration Kitchen, 12:00 – 16:00

Resident Chef Hayley Edwards will create culinary delights from a classic French repertoire using seasonal ingredients and specialities from the Market’s French traders.

 

French Traders

Marché du Quartier

French culinary specialities include escargots, duck confit, foie gras and saucissonBastille Day Special: confit de canard rillets.

Fitz Fine Foods    

Traditional Gallic specialities include regional pates and terrines, mustards, vinegars, cassoulet and confit.

Borough Cheese Company

Spectacular wheels of Comte cheese made in the Doubs and Jura areas and matured in the Fort Saint Antoine.

The French Comte   

Flavours of Franc-Comtois, including smoked Saucisse de Morteau, Comte, Mont D’Or and Cancoillotte cheeses

Borough Wines

French wines on offer, don’t miss Chateau Ponchapt, the stall’s family Bergerac vineyard

 Une Normande à Londres

Regional specialists offering familiar cheese and saucissons favourites and the more obscure Tête de Moine and Sainte Maure

Comptoir Gourmand

Specialist patisserie and deserts hand-made using traditional baking techniques
